Wes started recording in the late 60s & early 70s for the Folkways/Broadside record label. As a writer who contributed to the topical song magazine, Broadside, he was recorded for Folkways Records by its founder, Moses Asche. As well as recording his own tunes, Wes' guitar playing can be heard in support of other artists on these recordings.
